Kim Ellison, LCSW-R

During her 19 years in practice she worked at a community-based agency where experience was gained in outpatient care, hospital diversion, crisis management, child welfare and school age day treatment.  Not only did Kim provide direct services to children, adolescents and families of the Hudson Valley, Kim also provided clinical supervision to therapists providing services in the above-mentioned areas.  Kim was part of designing and implementing many programs within the Hudson Valley, assisting in improving the services available to our children.

While working within the community Kim received incredible training in many evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Family Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  The clinical  approach used is eclectic with a strong focus on strength-based therapy, Structural Family Therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Megan Hawkins, LCSW

Megan comes to Hudson Valley Therapy with years of experience working in outpatient settings.  Megan's areas of expertise include treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and prolonged grief. Megan utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Evidence Based Grief Therapies, and Strength Based Therapy to help individuals change unhelpful thinking patterns, create goals and identify their own unique abilities to face current challenges.  Her style is down to earth, patient, warm, and genuine.

Julia Van Tine, LP-MHC

Julia works with children, adolescents, and adults creating a safe open environment; allowing clients to explore feelings and experiences without judgement.  Julia's philosophy is that experiences shape our lives, but don't need to take hold over us. Julia utilizes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in addition to Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. She has effectively worked with clients with a wide range of diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavior problems, and ADHD.

Sarah Clarke, LMSW

Sarah comes to Hudson Valley Therapy with a wide variety of experience.  Those experiences include being a teacher, a human resource professional, an outpatient therapist with At-Risk populations, in addition to raising her own special needs children.  She is committed to supporting families and individuals as they navigate the unexpected, seek personal support, process their grief, create meaningful change, and find lasting joy in their new realities.  Sarah utilizes combinations of: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, through a trauma informed lens.  She is committed to celebrating individual’s strengths and interests, and utilizing them to build resilience.
